Did I just encourage you to use clickbait?
Isn't clickbait basically spam?
Yes, it is. I'm glad you understand that and pointed out the problem. I am not advocating submitting clickbait articles. What I am saying is that we can learn from clickbait articles. Clickbait articles stand out because they have an interesting concept, they appeal to our emotions, and they make us want to click.
The problem? Clickbait articles fail to deliver on their promise. And such articles are clearly becoming contrived. Often, when you read an article about a "weird trick" or a supplement that "should" be banned, it's just an advertisement for something very common. Or you may watch a long video wondering "what will happen next?" only to be disappointed to find out that nothing much happens.
Often, you have to click on a slider with a lot of ads. Thus, we learn not to click on clickbait. In other words, this is a catch-22. What is an Internet marketer to do? The answer is to embrace the good parts of clickbait and avoid the bad parts....
To illustrate, let's take another step back and look at what's wrong with a lot of Internet content. That is, there is nothing that stands out or is unique anyway. In the fitness niche, for example, there are hundreds of articles with titles like.
"The Top Ten Home Ab Exercises".
Or
"How to Get Cut Abs".
How many times have you read an article with such a title? The answer is: very many, I'm sure. And once you recognize that, you can see where the problem lies.
Going back to what I said earlier, would you click on it?
Would you click on an internet marketing article called "5 SEO Tips"? Would you click on an Internet marketing article called "5 SEO Tips"?
You probably wouldn't... It couldn't sound more boring.
Clickbait really stands out in social media channels filled with this kind of stuff because it actually sounds interesting and actually looks unique. a story about "weird secret tricks" is much more appealing than a story about "5 sit-ups".
The problem is that this technique is spammy.
So what should I do about it?
The answer is simple. Find exciting information that is worthy of such an exaggerated title. That's right. Instead of trying to "trick" your followers, provide them with exciting and unique information that they are looking for.
There are countless cutting-edge studies that introduce new training methods that may yield amazing results. There are also old and forgotten training methods. There are also more interesting approaches to similar topics, such as the relationship between fitness and self-defense. For example, the relationship between fitness and self-defense, or how building muscle can change you psychologically.
These all sound much more interesting and engaging, and can make for equally eye-catching and exciting post titles. The big difference, however, is that now you can provide really substantial and interesting content for your viewers when they click on the link. This will make them want to believe that the next time they see your article, you will deliver on your promise.
By combining these methods, you can gain the loyal support of people who are eagerly awaiting your next post. Also, when you share content created by others, you need to make sure that the content meets the same requirements of being great and keeping your promises.
